This movie is a love story between Rishi (Arvind Swami) and Roja (Madhoo).Rishi is working as a cryptologist for RAW. Roja is living in her village sundarapandiapuram. Rishi is getting a marriage proposal from Roja’s family for her sister Shenbagam. But shenbagam is in love with other person. When shenbagam and Rishi talks each other she tells rishi to reject her that she is in love with other person. Rishi says ok and proposes Roja ,her sister. Roja was not happy with Rishi proposed her .Rishi marries roja and move to his home town Chennai.

When Roja come to know that because of shenbagam only Rishi done like this, she feels sorry and starts loving Rishi. Due to illness of his chief he had to report to army communication centre at Baramulla. Rishi and Roja goes to kashmir to take new assignment. Rishi is captured by some terrorist group and ask for their person named wasim khan in return. Roja mets all higher official to help her out to release Rishi. After so many request military plans to release the wasim khan to save Rishi. Rishi escapes from the terrorists during that time and reaches his territory. During that time he had to under go so many situations. This is very neatly mentioned by the director in the film. After that Roja and Rishi lives together happily.
